This is a sponsored review from the Mall of America. Jet Lagged Plus a Headache Onset
SHOP, SHOP, SHOP SOME MORE!
It's not everyday that you get to shop till you drop and work at the same time. August was a very busy month for me with my work schedule. Yet, like many moms I found the need to take care of business at home. Plus, my heart was aching for time with my little Miss Maddi.
Most of us know what happens when our heart strings get to tugging on us. It's our internal message to pay attention to what is most important to us. At least mine does anyways! I came up with a GRAND PLAN to balance life for myself with work and family. The end of August for me meant finishing up a contract with a company I was working with in Minnesota. Since I couldn't bail out on the trip and I still had school shopping to do with my daughter, I did the next best thing! I took her with me with plans to go school shopping at the Mall of America. We made it a business/family trip and spent quality time together building crazy awesome memories while bonding together. No friends were allowed on this trip! It was just me and my daughter venturing off together to grow closer together than we have ever been before! It was great bonding time!
If you have never been to the Mall of America, you should definitely put it on your list of places to visit. There is so much to do there, you can spend several days and never feel bored. The mall is not just stores. It's loaded full of tons of different recreational things to do like theaters, mirror mazes, restaurants galore, miniature golf and an indoor amusement park. Our first day there we hit the mall for lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. And then....Maddi had jet lag and a migraine set in with her. We cut the day short and headed back to the Park Plaza.
Oh Hey!!! Did I mention there was an indoor aquarium to visit at the mall also? Yep, I think the mall of america has covered about everything. It's great entertainment! Let's not forget the hotels right there. There is no need for a car rental as most hotels offer shuttles to the Mall of America!
The Mall of America provided Maddi and I with passes to Nickelodeon Universe, Moose Mountain miniature golf and The Flying DutchMan Ghostly GangPlank! We had a great time riding rides and trying to get those golf balls where they go....we weren't very good at that but it sure was fun trying! I snapped a few shots while we were there enjoying the fun day we had.
As evening set in we headed back to the hotel and Maddi knew that in order to play in the day, I had to work in the evening and so I did. I finished up my contract work so that we could enjoy our time in the day together! Five days and four nights in Minnesota with one of the love of my life's and it was so worth it!

Hangin out at the top of the Mall!
Lego's Anyone! It amazes me how these larger than life figures are built with all Lego's
As we accomplished our goals, we set off from Minneapolis back to the city of Detroit where my cowboy stood waiting for me and let me just tell you this.....Absence really does make the heart grow fonder! He looked as handsome as the first day I met him! You see how sometimes taking in some family travel while doing business can make everything so worth it and life really does ROCK the Kazbahhhhh! So what are you waiting for my friends. You know what is important to you! I truly hope that your relationships are one that you value the most. If so, create that balance in your life to put in some fun time and enjoy the time you spend with others. Ladies, I am here to tell you - plan a trip with your BFF's to the Mall of America! You can't go WRONG!!!
